Green Dream Home Equilibrium – Grand Opening.       

On May 21, 2010 a grand opening ceremony was held at the Green Dream Home Equilibrium Demonstration Project at 1858 Ironwood Terrace in Kamloops.  With approximately 50 people in attendance Darryl Caunt, President, Canadian Homebuilders Association Central Interior handed over the keys to the first demonstration home in BC to the YM/YWCA in order to start their charity ticket sales.  As many as 60,000 people are expected to walk through the house in the next six months.

This is a Sustainable Housing Demonstration Initiative, which encourages builders to build the next generation of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly homes.  TRU Trades and Canadian Home Builders’ were partners on the project.  SIDIT is pleased to provide a $100,000 grant toward this innovative project.
