Green Dream Home Equilibrium - Project Breaks Ground 

On July 24, 2009 a ground breaking ceremony was held to start construction on the Green Dream Home Equilibrium Demonstration Project in Kamloops.  With approximately 50 people in attendance Cathy McLeod, Member of Parliament for Kamloops – Thompson -Cariboo, on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and Minister Responsible for CMHC, was joined by Darryl Caunt, President, CHBA CA, and Dr. Ulrich Scheck, Provost and Vice-President Academic, TRU in the ground breaking of the first demonstration home in BC.  This is a Sustainable Housing Demonstration Initiative, which encourages builders to build the next generation of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly homes.  TRU Trades and Canadian Home Builders’ are partners on the project.  SIDIT is pleased to provide a $100,000 grant toward this innovative project.
